Separate out the users who open your emails and takes actions, from those who don't even open them and others who open it rarely. It will be then easy to carry out effective email campaigns.
Follow the Opt-in and Double opt-in method. It is like taking the consent of the receiver before sending any emails.

- Don't send similar kind of emails every day, they may lose their interest.
- Send about new feature and updates, motivational stories.
- ask for their feedback.
- Send promotional emails once in a while telling about any offers, coupons, rewards, etc.
People who read your emails but not regularly are the customers you can hold on with great efforts.
- Don't send them emails frequently
- Ask if they like your emails, contents, products, etc or not, are they facing any other problems. Help them out.
- Most of the emails go to the spam folder or junk which may be a reason people are not aware of your emails. So while sending confirmation mail, give them an alert to remove you from the spam folder.
- Inactive users are a threat to your campaigns. Respect their decision and be straightforward with them. It is better to let them go if both business and customers are not benefited from this.
Remove the database of the customers whose emails are getting bounced (hard or soft) due to any reason.
